As its name suggests, the Thuka Maxi Shorty 1 is shorter than the standard Maxi 1 single bed, designed as the first step for your little one into the world of proper beds.
Made from tightly grained Scandinavian pine and carefully finished to a very high standard with a clear, resilient easy clean lacquer, this bed is very easy to assemble and low enough for your child to climb on without assistance.
Smaller in size does not mean a compromise in strength, durability or rock-steadiness. The Shorty 1 is made from the same 2 3/4 inch wide square posts and 1 1/4 inch thick rails as the full size Thuka Maxi beds, giving the Shorty 1 incredible strength, considerably more than your 'average toddler bed'.
In keeping with the Thuka Maxi building kit system, this Shorty 1 bed can be turned into a mid sleeper, bunk beds or even a highsleeper (requires full length sides) at a later date if required by the addition of inexpensive addon building kits. The Thuka Maxi Shorty 1, with it's strength and durability is designed to last for many years through several conversions if desired.
